Berit N. Durler has been involved with the San Diego business community for over 35 years, in both the private and public sector. She has worked in the real estate development/construction arena as chief operating officer for The Tom Hom Group, served as a consultant for charitable real estate gifts and held senior management positions for three multi-state financial institutions.
She has long been active in the community, and is currently the president of Charter 100. She was a past chair of the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance Board of Trustees and of San Diego Hospice, was secretary of the San Diego Women’s Foundation, and is a member of San Diego Rotary. Along with her interest in wildlife, she was appointed to the Mayor’s Balboa Park Task Force, and she holds a special interest in the arts. She served on the Mayor’s Task Force for the formation of the new San Diego Symphony, as well as on the San Diego Arts and Culture Commission.
