2023 Endangered Species Day Jaguar

FEWER THAN 100 AMUR LEOPARDS REMAIN IN THEIR NATIVE HABITAT

Due to unsustainable rates of hunting and deforestation, Amur leopards considered one of the rarest cats on earth are critically endangered. But conservation efforts can make a difference in giving this big cat a second chance at survival. Help us increase the global population though conservation breeding programs, while protecting native habitat and fueling long-term conservation solutions in the Asian Rainforest.

2023 Endangered Species Day Przewalski's Horses

FEWER THAN 2,000 PRZEWALSKI’S HORSES ARE LEFT IN THE WORLD

After surviving near-extinction in the 1980s due to habitat loss and climate change, these wild horses still face a lack of genetic diversity. All living Przewalski’s horses were descended from 12 individuals until the birth of Kurt, the first-ever clone of a Przewalski’s horse and a resident of the San Diego Zoo Safari Park.

2023 Endangered Species Day Butterfly

FEWER THAN 2,000 WESTERN MIGRATORY MONARCH BUTTERFLIES REMAIN

Habitat loss, pesticides, and climate change have contributed to a 99% percent drop in population since the 1980s. Help us work alongside partners to support habitat conservation and education about the monarch’s plight.

A better future starts today.
