San Diego Zoo Global researchers studying the effects of climate change on polar bears are using innovative technologies to understand why polar bears in the Southern Beaufort Sea are showing divergent movement patterns in the summer. 

San Diego Zoo Global is celebrating the birth of an Andean bear cub, born at the San Diego Zoo in the early morning hours of Jan. 8, 2020 to first-time mother Alba and sire, Turbo. 

Researchers supported by San Diego Zoo Global are getting ready to go into the Blue Mountains region of Australia to look for koalas, in the wake of the wildfires that recently spread through the area.
