SAN DIEGO (March. 11, 2022) – Excitement filled the air at the San Diego Zoo today as a large crowd gathered to experience the newest and most anticipated opening in the nonprofit conservation organization’s history. Paul A. Baribault, president and chief executive officer of San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance, along with a group of San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance team members, youth from across San Diego, and Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax, joined in a festive opening ceremony welcoming guest into the new Denny Sanford Wildlife Explorers Basecamp.

SAN DIEGO (Nov. 23, 2021) – ‘Tis the season for holiday fun, and Jungle Bells at the San Diego Zoo proudly supported by California Coast Credit Union and Wild Holidays at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park offer memory-making holiday experiences for the entire family. Both events will treat guests to views of amazing wildlife, twinkling lights, entertaining live performances, holiday music and more. 

SAN DIEGO (Oct. 28, 2021) – The Jane Goodall Institute (JGI) has named Paul A. Baribault, president and chief executive officer of San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance, as chairman of its board of directors. Baribault has until this change served in the capacity as vice chairman of the board.

SAN DIEGO (Aug. 6, 2021) – San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance is proud to announce the birth of a southern tamandua (pronounced tuh MAN deh wah) pup at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. The female pup, yet to be named, was born July 21 to first-time tamandua parents, Cora and Fernando.
