San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance is celebrating the birth of a Sumatran tiger cub at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park’s Tull Family Tiger Trail habitat. The cub was born August 23 to first-time mother Jillian. This birth is an important step in San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance’s ongoing work to conserve Sumatran tigers.  

SAN DIEGO (May 17, 2024) – On the morning of April 12, 2024, the San Diego Zoo's Wildlife Care team was greeted with an exciting development. Meili (pronounced may-lee), an endangered François' langur under pregnancy observation for several months, gave birth to a vibrant orange infant overnight. This marks the Zoo's first François' langur birth since 2019, introducing a critical new member to the dwindling species population.

SAN DIEGO (Oct. 12, 2023) – Two critically endangered Sumatran tiger cubs emerged from their den today at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. The cubs, born July 12, stepped out to explore their outdoor habitat, much to the delight of wildlife care staff and volunteers.
